Many Moving Mother’s Day Giveaway Submissions
The winner of our Mother’s Day Giveaway received a free Tea Cup / Mug Stand.
Our first ever Mother’s Day Giveaway was a tremendous success. We asked our customers to explain what they love about their mothers for a chance to win a piece of American made furniture. The many responses we received were heartfelt and touching, and we would like to thank everyone who shared what makes their mom special. Unfortunately we only had one piece of solid wood furniture to give away, but we thought we would share some of our favorite submissions.
My Mom is the most wonderful mom; she taught us all how to cook and bake. We lived on a farm and there wasn’t very much money, but we always had books to read and wonderful food to eat. When our oldest cousin got married Mom made my 3 sisters, herself and me all matching dresses. They were the most beautiful dresses in the world.
My mom has always been very patient with my sister and me. She loved to sew us dresses when we were in elementary school. She always put us first, and probably still does somehow, even though we’re on our own. I love that she’s always been a hard worker for her family, but she’s been able to enjoy the fruits of her labor for herself too.
I love my mother more and more due to her ability to always take care of others. She is the rock and foundation. For 4 years she cared for my papa who had Alzheimer’s disease in her house because she didn’t want him in a nursing home. She did everything to make him comfortable. During that time she was (and is) a dedicated grandmother and sibling. She is the caretaker I only hope to become.
What I love about my mother is her dedication toward her family. She worked full time outside the home, but we grew up on homemade meals everyday.
