The Versatility of Solid Wood Tables

The idea behind a table is relatively simple: a nice elevated surface to keep whatever is on it off of the ground. The idea has been around so long that it seems hard to improve on, but we are constantly thinking about how to make tables that break the mold.

A great example is our Chair Side Storage Table. This table goes great next to your favorite armchair or as a substitute for a wood end table. Storage was one of our primary concerns when we designed the Chair Side Storage Table. Along with the top surface, it features a shelf underneath that is great for books or DVDs. Additionally, it features a compartment that offers hidden storage for TV remotes, glasses, pens or anything else that you want to keep out of the way.

Another versatile table is our Multipurpose Cart. As the named suggests, the cart is designed to be mobile. It features three shelves, meaning that it has plenty of space for magazines, remotes, books and much more. If you need a surface with storage capabilities that can be easily moved from room to room, then this is the piece for you.

One type of table that has gained popularity relatively recently is the TV tray table. Invented in the ‘50s, TV tray tables were designed so that people could eat a meal in front of the TV instead of seated at the kitchen table. TV trays today are used for other tasks too, such as using a laptop in front of the TV or doing homework on the couch.

The Chairside Storage Table has a flip-top in a concealing and sleek way that allows items to be stored inside the table; great for holding your remotes, reading glasses, or writing supplies.

It’s also narrower than most End Tables, which makes it great for apartments, condominiums, or rooms lacking space for a larger piece.
