Mettowee Collection by Manchester Wood
The Mettowee or “Mettawee” as listed on most maps is a river tributary of Lake Champlain flowing alongside our facility in Granville, New York. The Mettawee River begins in the hills of Dorset, flows northwesterly within Vermont into New York State, and joins the Poultney River via the Champlain Barge Canal near Whitehall, New York. The river carves through a picture, perfect setting of New England passing below the mountains & hollows and flowing through the dairy farms and hay fields that dot the valley. The Mettowee is particularly good for fly-fishing. Anglers who search for trout in the narrow creek beds or wide-open stretches with briskly moving currents are routinely rewarded.
We are grateful to have this charming natural resource close our mill. We have chosen Mettowee as the namesake for this collection in its honor. The Mettowee Collection, features traditional furniture design aesthetics and bold modern lines. Fit for a modern country home, or city dwelling, we offer this contemporary collection of American-made solid wood furniture to our customers backed by our Quality Guarantee and built to last generations.
